What is the Emission Calculator Badge?
The Emission Calculator Badge by the Central Chamber of Commerce indicates that an organization has used the Chamber’s Emission Calculator by to calculate its carbon footprint.
What are the benefits of the Emission Calculator Badgel?
With the Emission Calculator Badge, you can demonstrate to your stakeholders that your company’s carbon footprint has been calculated using the Central Chamber of Commerce’s reliable and transparent calculator, which is based on the GHG Protocol and approved by the Chamber.
The Badge also supports the quality development of your company’s carbon footprint calculation because, before granting the label, the Chamber checks that there are no obvious deficiencies in the calculation and requires that it includes your company’s own operational emissions (Scope 1), purchased energy emissions (Scope 2), and material value chain emissions (Scope 3).
How can you obtain the Badge?
You can obtain the Badge by performing the calculation with the Chamber’s Emission Calculator and applying for the Badge through the Calculator (detailed instructions are available in the tool).
The Chamber confirms that the calculation has been completed and grants the Badge, possibly requesting additional information first. You can access the Emission Calculator login page here.
The Badge is granted to an organization, not to an individual product or service.
With the Emission Calculator Badge, you can demonstrate, for example, to financiers and business customers that your company’s carbon footprint has been calculated using the Chamber’s reliable and transparent tool.
